What is PMS Exam?

PMS Syllabus 2022: PMS is the acronym of the Provincial Management Service; it is the service of the government. In Punjab on January 17, 2014, PMS came into existence upon notification of the S&GAD, Government of the Punjab, Pakistan.

To enhance the bureaucratic structure in the province the provincial government established this. Provincial administration in Punjab and other provinces is controlled by the Pakistan Administrative Service which is a Federal Bureaucracy. Here I will share with you the PMS syllabus, subjects and criteria.

In Scale-17 PMS Officers are appointed and then get promotions to Scale-18,19 and Scala-20 according to Notifications Rules of Service called PMS Rules, 2004. In Grade 17 directly government officers were appointed.

In Punjab, the highest Competitive Exam is PMS. Assistant Commissioner, DCO, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Magistrate, DG Commissioner, Excise and Taxation Offices and Section Officer such type of jobs are offered to candidates who clear PMS and CSS Exam. PMS Exam is conducted by Punjab Public Service Commission each year. In the month of December, the PMS Exam is conducted by PPSC.

In the top-level bureaucracy of the province, PMS Officers are important. PMS Officers perform their duties at District, Tehsil, Division and Provisional levels at important posts.

Eligibility Criteria for PMS Exam 2022.

The candidate should have at least 2nd division in a bachelor’s degree from a university that is recognized by HEC. 21 to 28 years is the age limit for applicants for applying in PMS Exam.

The applicant is a government employee who is domiciled of Punjab and Federal Government Servant having 4 years of continuous service for the age limit is relaxed by 7 years for the maximum age is 35 years. For disabled persons, there are 10 years of age relaxation according to Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment Rule,1976.

How to apply for PMS Exam?

In all newspapers reflecting dates and PMS Exam advertisements are published. Applicants who are willing to apply for PMS must go through the PPSC website for further details. Under the account head, in the nearest State Bank of Pakistan/National Bank of Pakistan/Govt.

Treasury, the Exam fee is a deposit. The next step is on the official website of PPSC, fill out the online application form and take a print of it. Along with copies of the bank receipt and your qualification documents dispatch the hard copies to the headquarters of PPSC, Islamabad.

For ordinary aspirants, age relaxation is 32 years after the covered age relaxation notification for government servants 37 years.

Is there any screening test?

No there is no screening test for PMS 2021.

Is there any quota for south Punjab at 32%?

No there is no quota for south Punjab seats on open merit and quota for minorities.

How many optional subjects should one choose?

Three subjects one subject per group.

Does a single application enough for ETO and PMS?

Yes, you have to apply only once for both seats would be allocated as per your merit.
